I wouldn't put it past them Mattyten year contract
Yip anxiety setting in for the last 15min when Everton just sat right back inviting pressure and no sign of subs coming. Flashbacks of the Bournemouth game. PTSD and all thatDespite being 2 goals up, I still felt the game was on a knife edge! This is the curse of the Everton fan… As the clock ticked on, I remember thinking how many goals would they need to score for me to feel this is an “easy” win
I make it 4 in a row. Thought he had a good game against Leicester and set up Ndiaye for the goal in that matchIs it just me or has young gone three matches on the trot as good and reliable?
The second Bournemouth goal happened because we got hit on the break so it's not as simple as saying we sat back. Sitting deep and playing on the break when 2-0 is the correct tactic (particularly given how unreliable some of our players are in possession). The issue in both games is that we didn't take our chances on the break to make it 3 or 4 nil and in the Bournemouth one we lost our shape because we needed fresh legs.Yip anxiety setting in for the last 15min when Everton just sat right back inviting pressure and no sign of subs coming. Ya that's what I was saying with lack of subs again players tiring and little reaction from the sidelines again and the team sitting back inviting pressure with more crosses coming into the box. The crosses invoking nightmares of that match. Thankfully able to deal with them better than against Bournemouth. The second Bournemouth goal happened because we got hit on the break so it's not as simple as saying we sat back. We did defend much better though. We kept our shape and their chances were very limited. A speedy winger on the right and we would be in business.Ya that's what I was saying with lack of subs again players tiring and little reaction from the sidelines again and the team sitting back inviting pressure with more crosses coming into the box. Ya should have been at least 3up in both games
Me too but it was more to do with our history of letting leads slip than with what was actually happening on the pitch.Despite being 2 goals up, I still felt the game was on a knife edge! He's got an impressive catalogue of howlers already. That Muric is possibly the worst GK I've seen in Prem for a long time. Including his stint at Burnley too. Calamitous.
