Is Sam that bad?

All I can say is that the performance are improving slowly game by game. There was never going to be a quick fix for the problems plaguing our club because of how deep they run.....we are all aware of what is wrong.
Considering the disastrous summer window and the mess that Koeman and Walsh have left we are doing OK, but if you are reading this Mr Allerdyce, its the team selection/decisions that will do for you!

I expected him to come in and make us hard to beat. I was expecting a return to the dog of war days. He hasnt done that and we have rolled over against the top 6 which has been hard to stomach
We have though picked up points against the bottom 14.
He has delivered what he set out to do. He hasnt done enough to justify extending the contract.
He's CV hasnt been damaged by his time here either. The next team that needs saving next season will be dialing up Sam

Just need to draw a line under this season asap

I do not like his approach of abandoning games against the top six sides, and our general approach away from home.

Surely we are safe now and can afford to play with a little more freedom.

I expected that he would get us results against sides 7th and below, and by and large he has.

There is the argument that our form against the top six, and away form in general are longstanding problems, that no Everton manager in recent times has managed to reverse.

That, and the dearth of quality in the squad, are mitigating circumstances in his favour.

He will ensure our safety and that is what I expected from him. The Spurs / Arsenal and one or two other games have left a bad taste though.

I was for his appointment, and I think we might go on another run now.

But it's simple really. We can do better and we must use the time between now and May to try and secure a manager who can bring longer-term stability and a vision of progress to the club. We get that guy and Sam goes.

But I don't think it's a given with the way we do things. He got the job in the first place because he was second choice on a shortlist of one.

I'd give him 5 out of 10, he has preformed more or less as I expected, but certainly has not done anything beyond that at all.

Well there's plenty on here and twitter who didn't

No he's not that bad, he plans the games we can win and makes sure we do.

Boring as hell in the games he writes off though, and therefore is not suitable for an ambitious sleeping (comatose?) giant.

Thank him for keeping us up at the end of the season and move on.
More like bain dead.

Crazy to think we will probably still come top 7.

Puts it into perspective. I never realized just how rubbish the rest of the league was.

The man's a ballbag, a win against a weakened Palace side at home won't change that for me. Every other club is laughing at us for bringing him.

Half of those teams are below us in the league so he would have every right to tell them to kiss his fat hairy backside....

No he does not deserve a second season. We are supposed to be a club with ambition, a club who wishes to regain it's place amongst the footballing elite. The board will give the whole game away, if they give Allardyce another season.Giving Allardyce another season, would be the boards way of saying, that staying in the premiership is the only thing, we are interested in at the end of the day.Of course Big Sam has his merry band of loyal and devout supporters. But i think the vast majority of us, want Sam Allardyce gone as soon as this season is over.

Fundamentally we can’t have a part of the footballing furniture managing Everton. Koeman was exactly the same, and Moyes had strains of it too, they don’t understand Everton as we do so think ‘why are the fans angry, Everton shouldn’t expect better than top half’. We need either a blue who understands that we demand better or a bit of a dreamer who wants to make us the best we can. Fed up of these managers coming in and rolling home to 7th then getting offended when we’re not elated by it, writing off every away game, every game c the top 6 and any notion of winning trophies.

We’ve had Moyes Koeman and Allardyce who all believed we were crazy for expecting better than what they served up smdMartinez who couldn’t deliver on his aspirations (least he had some I suppose).
