Is Sam that bad?

Anybody still want Silva?

Me.

Utterly transformed hull. In fact I'll confidently say I saw more of them than any other member of the board after he took over there. See my niasse posts at the time for proof. He more than tripled his predecessor's record per win ratio whilst implementing a completely new playing style, all whilst having his best players sold from beneath him. Says a lot that his replacement was sacked with a far lesser win ratio with essentially the same squad but in the championship. He massively over achieved.

Had Watford playing at a different level to anything I've seen in my life time. Indeed even after the players chucked it because he made it clear he wanted to come here, he still after that awful run, left them in the highest league finishing position they've ever been in. Again showing what he is capable of.

People who say he has failed in the epl just simply don't see a bigger picture. Circumstances and influences. It's an ignorant stance. He massively enhanced both teams he has touched in these shores. Cue the ah but he got relegated at hull and sacked at Watford shouts...

His record out with England is superb. I've posted previously about it but his record at estoril is utterly superb, sporting decent, and his record breaking stint at Olympiakos again outstanding.

Don't see anyone, including fonseca, who would realistically join us, who could come any where close to silva.

He would 100% be my realistic pick for the job, albeit with slight concerns he'd leave us if a bigger job came up, however for that to happen he'd have to be successful at our club.

Does it not concern you how poor his defences are though? Our defence is terrible so we'd need a manager to come in and sort that out. With some money at the back of him who knows, but for both Hull and Watford in the past 2 seasons:

Everton 4 - 0 Hull
Hull 1 - 7 Spurs
Watford 0 - 6 Man City
Chelsea 4 - 2 Watford
Watford 2 - 4 Man United
Watford 1 - 4 Huddersfield

Most of them are against better sides but they are the type of games we are being hammered in ourselves with our poor defence. Those poor scorelines don't reassure me that he knows how to cope against the better teams with a weak defence.

come on mate, it might have cost 100s of millions but the quality doesn't match the outlay

I think Walcott coming here was largely down to him as well, he's well respected amongst the players

Imho that's just pants. If there's any respect it'll be because he has dodgy photos or shared tax accountants, there is nothing tangible football wise that he can be respected for...other than liquid meat juice consumption

He's never been relegated, but that's about his only plus-side.
He is deluded and out of touch. With the talent we have we shouldn't be in this position.
As much as many forum members would like it to be true,he doesn't tell experienced Prem midfield players to mis-place passes on a regular basis and not to bother tracking runners,or defenders not to bother close marking.
