Spoke to a mate at football last night who is a Standard Liege fan. Says he is pretty sad to see him go as he has been a real bright spot of their season. Said nobody was sure about him when he came in but that after a few games you could tell he was too good for the Belgian league.

If this goes through which it looks like it will now.... initially I was surprised, But when you consider he can play up front (Instead of Kone-Valencia) if Rom gets injured or just behind the striker where Ross has been awful this season I feel even competition for places is good. Get rid of Niasse and Cleverly in this window too and not all bad. Would of preferred Depay personally who we could of got from a couple of million more but the wages here may of been the stumbling block.

The pressure isn't on him to score bags of goals. He's been brought in to provide something different to what we have and somebody to support Rom - i.e. give us options.

For me, if he does come in, he'll be the best Belfodil to have played for Everton. I can't say fairer than that.

Sounds like with Gana and Morgs in CM, and this guy playing behind Rom, the plan now must be a winger and an inside forward to actually create the goals. He probably wants someone in the vein of Tadic, and I suspect Bolasie was meant to be the mainstay on the other flank.

Apparently yes and was he looking at him the summer they bought Kante as another option too.

We will likely bring in 3-4 players for modest amounts each season that none of us have ever heard off, that's walshs forte, if one or two work out then it's great business as gueye shows.

We will 100% bring in an expensive peak age cb mate, and someone in the roles you said as well.
