Put in a shift and got an assist. No complaints. We do need some quality across the 3 behind DCL but the current incumbents are all showing something.

People wanted Gnonto. I can see what, but he was never the player for us.

…not been impressed when I’ve watched him this season. Kudus would’ve given us top quality but that ship has sailed.

McNeil and Harrison give us a necessary solidity that will help us into mid table which tbh would be more than enough for me this season (plus a cheeky cup final)

They have output though, that’s the key difference. You’d bank ok then getting a decent number of goals and assists every season whilst working hard in defence every game. Gray, Iwobi, Gordon, Townsend you had absolutely no idea what you were going to get and Gray and Gordon had little work ethic either.

Love this fella. Works his socks off and never seems to tire. A proper footballer too. He'll get goals but for now I'm more than happy with him. He has definitely improved us.

Yes as a loan and getting £20m for iwobi is good business he works hard like iwobi but also lacks in the final 3rd like iwobi kind of player that will steady us which is progress but going forward we need better I think anyway.

Bounce ball on that one Ithink. Let's see him when he shakes off the worst of his injury and he gets Coleman playing in behind.

Gone are the days of Alexander Iwobi bumbling on his arse and doing the Macarena on the sideline. I’m glad to just have some stability in the position for the first time in forever. Both working really hard and doubtlessly doing a lot of graft which largely goes unnoticed. We'll get frustrated by their lack of quality at points throughout the season but give me these two above Iwobi all day long.

Edit - I think he done the pass to DCL for his goal against West Ham and I'm assuming the header he missed against Bournemouth which rebounded back to Doucoure has been included as one as well

I rate the lad think fits the system need mcneil to get back to his best. Would like us to get two other lads who can come off the bench to replace them both as they put in a shift to give us a different threat

Gordon was clearly a very talented player who was capable of very hard work, scoring and creating. He’s having a great season so far for Newcastle and has excellent stats. He just suffered in the general malaise.
