That's some price for a player from a villa piont of view.
At least ipswich are having a go of staying up.
Meanwhile we have a dead duck of a manager and sit on are bums.
West ham sack a manager that has won twice as many wins we stick.
They’ve done well to make money selling him twice in 18 months. But ultimately there’s a reason they’ve done so.

Everyone has known for months that the takeover would be completed in time for the January window. Thelwell should have been ready with a list of players to go straight into the first team. Instead, he's again just trying to sign the same players he's tried to sign previously. Look forward to see us being linked with Gnonto in the next few days. Wish we'd sign some exciting, pacy players from outside the Premier League.
exactly!!!

It’s a 105 mill loss.

Not how much you spend mate.
I would have thought that Ipswich will suffer the same as Forest in that their cumulative 3 years will include 2 years outside the PL whereby loss thresholds are lower and hence they will be measured against a lower figure than £105m.

We agreed £18m in the summer for him. He picked Ipswich then too, over us. Before Villa activated their option.

£21m isn't a lot more, just feels it because isn't getting a game at Villa.

I think we'd have paid it if we could. I think he just wouldn't come here given managerial situation.

so your now a dyche - out?

News of the Ipswich bid for Philogene just reached the guys at Dortmund negotiating Malen's move to Villa.....

They had a league 1 funding mate, then championship, then PL in a very short space of time.

Imagine their budget, compared to the revenue growth. The scope for spending is huge.

It literally would have went from small 10s of millions to 100s of millions, likely unbudgeted for or expected for.

If they go down they also get parachute payments. One of those payments is prob more than their budget two seasons ago.

It’s also about losses they have the huge jump in revenue + 35 mill - that alone in about 5 of this lad.

They’ll be more than good IMO.
