Nobody's Choosing Ipswich ahead of Everton.

We are roughly the same place in the table. They have a young up and coming manager and team with some exciting young forwards.

We have forwards who can't score, play atrocious defensive football and a manager that favours experience and hard work over creativity.

There was a few hints yesterday from a few sources that any incoming movement would depend on a sale. Plan seems to have been Beto back to Italy and then bring in a winger. Even a loan with obligation for Beto, the club could have apparently booked the value for PSR purposes to give them wiggle room. The injuries to DCL, Broja and now a setback for Chermitti has now put the breaks on Beto moving which in turn ballses up our own plans.

What's up with DCL? Hopefully Broja isn't too bad, don't risk him tomorrow night and perhaps back in contention for the home games next week?

If I wasn’t local to the club, have mates that went for years (when they could actually get a ticket) I would be oblivious to how they were ran and the more you delve into them the more impressive the club and it’s objectives are. They are all very excited about Delap and he’s almost definitely staying in the league regardless of whether Ipswich do, Man City have a clause if he’s ever sold. That’s £50m minimum if they go down before parachute payments.
Recruiting some of the best recent players in the championship and hoping they improve on the bigger stage is a fail safe, either financially or to be promoted again if they drop, I personally think they will stay up or be very close to it.

It’s incredible what they’ve done really in the last three years mate and I agree 100% on their strategy. They are way ahead of their plan id suspect and because of that their income I imagine far exceeds their budgets. They’ve bought sellable assets and also have parachute payments. At worst they will be a top championship club and they would have bit your hand off for that two years ago.

The incredible thing is the appetite shows no sign of abating, like this deal, they are purposeful, planned, brave and nimble, everything we are not.

Ipswich and Everton can't be compared.
They are in a really good place as a club right now and we are in a really bad place but we are still above them.
The earning potential of both clubs are on different levels and that is before we move to BMD.

As I know very little about the player I can't say if he is a bad miss for us or not but Villa who are in several competitions still are happy to sell him for a relatively modest fee and that would not fill me full of confidence about him.

I do think uncertainty about a manager is also a factor and will make signing our top targets more difficult.

It does appear that offensive players are nervous of signing for SD.
