Jagielka: There could be 'double figures' leaving Goodison this summer

Thing with so many changes is it can affect the chemistry and we'll be in that transition period for about 2 years. Look what happened to Spurs and RS. Fans who think we'll instantly be competing in the top 5 might be in for some waiting.

Yeah defo. Small chance it might all just click but probably a bit of patience needed.

Weird comments them. May signal part of the problem if they think the fans are content with shitting it in semi finals and not winning anything for 21 years.

Or just could be taking those comments out of context here.

Ah sack it: favourite Lolly ice as a kid, GO:

Ice lolly you total onion.

If Kone and Lukaku go then it makes no sense to get rid of Niasse unless you want to spend over 1/2 your transfer budget on 3 strikers. Now Niasse may not be any good but he was stuck in an impossible situtation. A manager in self-preservation mode and a team that quit on the manager. At worst he's probably a solid No.2 striker but there is potental that he could be quite good and No.2 strikers are going to go for high wages and around 10M these days (see naismith). 100M today won't be like having 100M 5 years go because there are going to be massive bidding wars and massive wage bills for some players that you would call pretty good.

Already there are shouts for 20M for the likes of Ashley Williams. Yea he's good, but he's also 31.

I would agree that it is not ideal to replace all our strikers at one time but look at the facts.

Lukaku wants away and whilst everyone would like to keep him I suspect he will go for over £50 million

Kone is useless but it is hard to see who would take a chance on him - a team like Burnley perhaps

Niasse is a total liability but I think we are probably stuck with him.

I genuinely like the fela. Inury prone but a genuine Everton kind of player. I'd keep him.

My heart says this, but with Baines, Galloway and possibly Garbutt still here there's not really space/need for him :( I think even having 3 1st team LBs is pushing it as they won't all get playing time.

On the topic of other players who may go, personally I hope Osman and Hibbert both stay in some capacity. People talk about how Hibbert is an old school, no nonsense, tackle first ask questions later, loves to actually defend, defender (before he got old and slow), and there aren't many of those about any more. So why would you want to get rid of that? Osman was widely considered as one of our most technically gifted players, even when Arteta and Pienaar were here, comfortable with the ball at his feet etc etc. Both have been at the club all their lives and are Evertoninas thru and thru. I think we should keep them on on a non-playing contract, and let them train up as coaches.

One great thing is that Galloway, Pennington, Ledson, Kenny, Dowell, Davies and probably Henen too can already offer us so much more than the likes of Osman, McGeady, Kone, Hibbert, Gibson and Pienaar have done in years, so those has-beens don't need 'replacing' as such. It's players currently in the first eleven who need replacing, to improve the starting line up and create more intense competition for places. I'm talking about players such as McCarthy, Lennon, Cleverley, Mori, Jagielka... they should no way be starting for us more often then being on the bench, so the sooner we replace them with more quality the quicker we'll fly up the league.

We then spend our 75m from Mr Moshiri or whatever he's decided to provide plus Lukaku's 55m to get five or six top class players in and really turn us into a top team.

Sorted.

Can people please give Niasse a full pre-season and some matches under a new manager before we judge him. We've barely seen anything yet.

Agreed mate. He hasn't looked the best so far, but he has worked hard and appeared to want to be there. Deserves 6 more months simply because I'm not so sure he's poo yet.

I'll admit he's looked a bit pants but he's obviously not fully fit AND coming into one of the - if not the - fastest leagues in the world. He needs a pre-season to integrate properly. I know the Russian league isn't all that but to get POTY ahead of talented players like Hulk, Witsel, Promes etc. must mean he's at least got something about him. If we bin him and Kone and then Lukaku goes we then need to go buy 2-3 strikers. He'll be happy to be on the bench and when fully ready he looks absolutely rapid.

I haven't seen anywhere that he got POTY mate? The point raised is valid though. Yes, he may be as pants as some deem him already. However, he has come into a toxic atmosphere, not fully fit and in a half-arsed team. Since he's come into the side, Rom hasn't scored either. Give him 6 months, then if he is still turd at Christmas, certainly re-assess.

However, just the ability to track back and win back the ball when he loses it wins him a bit more time for me.

I sincerely hope Niasse is shown the door by our next manager as soon as humanely possible. Surely some daft Chinese team will be stupid enough to give us a few million for him and we can just forget the whole sorry saga.

From what I've seen from the kids who have gotten their chance over the past few weeks. They can replace Hibbert, Osman and Pienaar. None of them were playing often anyway. Will lessen the problem of bringing in too many new faces. Then four or five signings on top.

A good player who is in the twilight of his career in favor of a youth with more upside, probably lower wages and many years ahead?

...in my job I usually invest in stocks that are rising and good future. I usually sell or cut assets as they decline or only maintain.
IF you consider Everton a business then probably the right decision is to part ways or restructure Barry's contract. I am not saying Barry is worthless i am saying he is worth less.

Don't agree massive influence on younger players plus a very important squad player for next season, which is his last year under contract

Ask Aston Villa about playing too many younger players

I made 14 a few hours ago:

1-- Howard
2-- Oviedo
3-- Garbutt
4-- Hibbert
5-- Mattioni
6-- Gibson
7-- Osman
8-- Pienaar
9-- McGeady
10-- Henen
11-- McAleny
12-- Leandro
13-- Kone
14-- Niasse

Easily replaced.

Don't agree with Oviedo, just don't play him at right back or Garbutt he will go on loan for another season. Think you will find that we keep either Osman or Gibson for another year.

Henan again loan as with Leandro, hopefully the Koneman will be shown the door, Naisse will be in prison
