2024/25 Jake O'Brien

He's the best footballing CB we've had since Stones.

Wouldn't surprise me if he ended up doing that role he does at City...the one I called out years before Pep saw it.

Have you just said you know more than Pep Guardiola Dave ? Christ I know Peps had a bad Season, but I'll Betya he's fuming now, knowing all's he had to do was pick the phone up and give you a call mate. Why didn't you tell Dyche ?

I would love to know what SD thinks of the transformation in Everton since he left and in particular the impact of Jake O Brien who was completely ignored by him.

Given that he felt he couldn't get any more out of this group of players I wonder if it has shaken his belief in his own football ideology at all?
I think it was simply down to this:

Dyche plays a back 4.

Trakowski and Branthwaite would never lose their place to a PL novice CB like O'Brien. His RB plans began and stopped with his mate Ashley Young.

The mundane explanation is always the most compelling one in the end. There was no conspiracy to keep O'Brien out.

I said I called it before he started playing him in midfield.

That's just a fact. 🤷‍♂️

So you’re saying Dyche was a total dogshit football manager then, yeah?

Glad we’re all on the same page here.

Currently crossing the Irish sea for international duty.

Baines was nothing at an international level. He was only as good as he was here because Pienaar did an excellent job alongside him.

Absolute rubbish Dave you haven't got a clue, you're bitterness clouds you're judgement at times, what I'd give, or most sane Evertonians would give for a young Leighton Baines playing for Everton right now alongside N'diaye.

I dont deny his career at Everton was fantastic.

I just dont accept he could have done that with Jack Harrison in front of him instead of Pienaar.

But he even put Keane ahead of him when Branths was injured and look what happened
