O Brien will be a very good player for us but he needs a little time to settle.

If he played in the league and made mistakes he would be slaughtered on here whereas by letting him settle slowly into the team he will get to start when he is ready.

This 100%.

He looks promising, but Branthwaite-Tarkowski is the starting pair.

He'll get his chance though due to injury and suspensions. That's a better time to bring him. We cant make him a starter too soon with fans grumbling why he's getting played over better CBs...although if Branthwaite leaves this window he'll have to be a starter.

Overall, he looks like an aggressive lad and has pace to get himself out of trouble.

What relevance is that? Those deals were done 4 years ago at least.

just saying picking players on what we paid or are paying them is irrelevant, pick the best players even if they were free and on 1k p/w
