I dunno. I won't be fuming - probably because I wasn't expecting another forward last night. I was amazed at the levels of expectation on here. It was almost gleefully smug. I thought we must have made a huge surprise signing that I'd missed, but no. It was as if Gueye and Garner had already been priced in and banked and we'd all decided we were adding another three exciters today. The non-announcements of Gueye and Garner told the observant that they were being held back to fill the day. Anything else would be a bonus.

Glaring holes in the squad namely in the attacking positions, left ourselves short for the season and failed to replace our best player whom we have sold two months ago - I think the fans are right to expect this issue to be addressed and will be right to kick off when it isn’t

We had a lot of contracts expiring, so we needed to. That's before even thinking about upgrading positions.

Replacing them with players who can play instead of being injured is a great stride forward

In fairness the signs were good, two players seemingly in the door (despite being dragged out all day today) and apparent genuine links to attacking players - every reason to expect the club to act in a somewhat responsible manner. I am sure in a few months we will be able to revisit this moment and trace wherever we are in the league back to it

Nothing, it was done yesterday. However, announcing it early would make it obvious that we haven’t actually been doing anything today. They actually think we’re THAT stupid.
