Yes, unfortunately. I was trying to be diplomatic and speak in euphemisms.

He completely buys it. The fact he tried the same line "judge us at the end of the window" schtick is a clear indication of that.

I think Kenwright genuinely loves the theatre of it all.
 

The most likely scenario is its done, but we are working on other deals. If we dont get any more over the line, this is the "last minute" good news signing that we managed to get over the line. If we do manage to get something done (looking lass likely), we announce Garner as the window closes and the other shortly after with a proper unveiling tomorrow.

There always has to be an elememt of theatre.
