Confirmed Signing James Garner

For me, the most exciting of all new signings.
I think Onana has the higher ceiling if Lampard files the rough edges off due to the athleticism, and I do like a good midfield hatchetman.

Garner probably contributes more right away in the sense that if we can get him into the team and still play top defense, that set piece ability might just be this season's "Get Out of Jail Free" card.

Proper United fans are fuming he’s been sold on the cheap without the buyback that was originally quotes and Forest fans are very disappointed he wasn’t signed instead of one of their fifty other signings.

These are both very good signs.

One of the highlights of the window for me was Maupay and Garner binning Forrest to come here. Was on their forum the other day, they were going mad about our spending and FFP.

Can’t wait for everyone to write him off after 10 minutes.
Dunno. Beckham got a whole lucrative career out of just being able to deliver on free kicks and corners, and we all saw that. Garner's not getting the modeling jobs (and hopefully not all the ink either), but a good set piece delivery is worth a lot if you can build the side to compensate for any limitations.

Think that’s very unfair on Beckham myself.

I think the signings of both him and Onana in centre midfield are key, they are potentially a very good pair, lots of power and no small amount of skill there. The improvement in the midfield area has been incredible, we now have these two lads and Gana, Iwobi, Doucoure as very god options and Allan and Davies as injury cover, should they be needed. Allan and Davies, fitness permitting, were starters last season.

Is just a pity we couldn't have got another striker in, we really are gambling on DCL staying fit and recapturing his form and no serious injuries to Gordon, Grey or Maupay. An even break with injuries and we will be ok this season. If we can score a similar amount of goals as we did last season we will be fine, because, with the additions in midfield the defence will not be under the same amount of pressure, added to which, with Coady and Tarkowski added we look far more solid at the back.
