Onana is 21. But regardless, did you expect us to line up with a 4-6-0 formation. You need a bench, you need a squad, you fit in by contributing to our performances whether you start or are brought on.

Maybe swap him with Onana since you think he's so crap.

this idea that players get rotated I don’t think is born out in reality unless you’ve got 2 title winning sides at your disposal like City.

At least not your best players like Gana, Iwobi and Onana.

For example did Gana ever miss a league game for us in 3 years?

Obviously injuries are a different matter and if there is long term one for any of those 3 then he comes into play.

My point is he’s not going to be first choice, considering he was our second most expensive signing of the summer you wonder if we could have put the money to use elsewhere like striker if ffp was a consideration in not bringing one in apart from Maupay.

He cost £9m? Cheaper than Onana, than McNeil, than Maupay, only more expensive than - obviously - the loans and the free and Gana.

But that striker wouldn’t have been first choice either because DCL would be coming back??
