Garner does improve our starting XI. As I and many others have said, we aren’t going to be playing the same starting XI every single game for 38 games, and Garner is here for 5 years and Gana is 33.

How do we need him? We have plenty who can play out wide...Townsend cant be that far off: he reckons maybe October or just after the World Cup latest. And if you dont have a target man it's pointelss anyway, because that's McNeill's strength: hitting balls in to a forward of that nature.
That cash for McNeill could and should have paid for a new striker.
