Kind of profile it would have been good to go for the season we added Doucourre and Allan, when we still had some decent quality in other areas of the team.

Might be a big ask for him to come into this team with so little quality in the front three and expect him to make a huge difference. Still, a change from seeing us linked with premier league plodders or relegated fodder.

I think he’s already hit ‘peak value’ and we’re hoping to have him sold by Friday.

He looks fairly similar but he has a full year in the Championship to fall back on. Good on set pieces too.
