Well played Garner.
Thought he was the best player in first half.
Best passing seen from a CM in quite some time (not a high bar to overcome though)
Look composed on the ball, reads the game well, and defended well.
Garner was pivotal in a lot of the good stuff.

I see a lot of hope coming form him
- If Onana/Iwobi/Gana can combine well with him
- if we can survive and get in better players out wide.

Could be the step up in all round quality the other players need.

The fact he's only had 2 starts and there's just 6 games to go in the season is just typical of our luck/lack of ability to get decent transfers in.

Surprised its even taken that long on here !!
Garner is a good young player and will be a very good player for us.

Everton are awful, on and off the pitch.
Until something changes on both those fronts, than nobody is going to be good enough for certain people...

DCL will probably end up getting slated more now that he's back than when he was injured if he doesn't deliver immediately.

Would keep him in and swap Gana for Onana when hes fit. We need to start being able to pass in midfield, to put us on the front foot in matches. Garner will aid that much better than Gana.

Yeah agree, as long as Iwobi, Onana and Garner can combine well to defend the centre, its much better going forward.
Gana would still be important coming on to tighten up.
Just don't want to see us lose Onana when we're Finally getting a midfield.

I would like to see him start along with doucoure and onana (if available), I thought he's demonstrated some savviness on the ball, one of the few players who can actually pass it consistently just needs to retain his relevance on the pitch longer seems to fade quickly after the first half

I agree with this. Garner looks capable of playing passes better than the others. We give the ball away easily far too often, I think Garner can help us improve.
