Garner and Onana is the type of midfield you could try out with 5 games to go if you're in mid table. You're not going to get Dyche playing them together away Brighton or against City.

Ive been saying it for 5 games. It just looks so clear on paper while Gana doesnt have the nous on the ball.

Against Brighton and City whats Gana going to do, he'll be chasing shadows.

I think Garner looks a tidy player, he seems to be able to pass more than 5 yards in a forward direction. Doesn't look flustered on the ball either. I'd give Gana a rest next Monday and go with Garner, Onana and Doucoure and get right in their faces. If we go there and let them play, they will murder us. We must out muscle them in the middle of the park.

Deep defence, Garner and Onana as a double pivot feeding our players breaking on the counter.

I know he has been solid with defensive duties but I'd like him in a more advanced role has he is capable of orchestrating offensive campaigns and on another level of skill when it comes to playing with the ball. Such a gem an actual everton player who can pass the ball
Not sure as he's untested there. The position he plays for us he also played at Forest last season.

Maybe try him in a more advanced role next season although if we are relegated then I reckon there will be a fair few Prem teams looking to get him.

Looks like a good player to have as a DM/CM as hes a solid all rounder.

You cant ignore his goals/assists for Forest last season...perhaps he could do a job further forward. But for me hes a DM/CM.

A good player in the making. Has pace. Reliable. Needs regular game time. Would still be at Utd now if they hadnt signed top value players in his position.

The lad has ability, i thought he could have supported the offensive play a bit more last night and been further up the pitch at times, but that could have been instruction.

Thought him and gana played well tonight, can say gana is not great on the ball. But also puts in alot of work defensively winning the ball back and pressure on players. I dont think onana would be the better option atm, i do think he would make a great sub fresh legs in cm
