I think he's under rated generally he's not amazing but he's good at many aspects hoping he can kick on again this season

He's a very good all rounder, and massively underrated imo.

In terms of him kicking on it's small margins can make a huge difference in perception. Last season yeah he s used one goal, but hit the woodwork 4 times, probably the most in the league, an inch the other way he's sitting on 5 goals which given how deep we have our cm would be a great return. Again 2 assists - a poor return - his xA (expected assists) stat was 5 though, so again if our strikers could hit a barn door hed be sat on 5 assists, given the way the system has our cm another decent return.

All in percentiles for his position in comparison with the rest of the players thee in the league 84th tackles, 91st interceptions, 62nd ground duels won. 71st dispossessed (good btw), pass completion 59th, key passes 77th, crosses 88th, successful crosses 85th.

The metrics he drops below 50 in are passes (number of) successful passes, dribbles (amount), aerial duels won and dribbled past.

So the talk of him being bang average just looks wrong, on analytics he's a top 3rd central mid in the league and in certain categories one of the best (obviously systems skew certain stats)

Gaffers day unleashing havoc on the squad's feeble bodies
The crazy fool did 'Gaffer's Day' twice this year according to Bobble. And they haven't been doing any tactical work yet.

I know I'm not a Dyche fan, but I find it mad in the modern age. It will likely lead to fitness issues when we have a very slim and poor squad. It's barely modernised from the days of making them run through the sand dunes and up hills.

Stats have ruined footie.
Stats arent the issue here, its peoples understanding of them.

Look at the similar players.

Tend to agree all this running and over loading on the fitness work is old fashioned. Yes you need fitness but pre-season should also be used to get some shape and match fitness and some tactical ideas into the team. We haven't had our full eleven available once because they've been flogged. And he says we have worked on no tactics either, no rush Sean only a few weeks till kick off.

Mate.
Go for a walk or chat to to girl or boy..
Analytics like this are for Stephen hawking

I wouldn't go far to say he's in the top half of midfielders but he is probably our most progressive and hard working midfielder with potential to progress and add a bit more attacking and on free kicks. Let's not go over board though, it's a low bar currently in our midfield.

Worth saying as well, first full season in the position, and what 23?

I don't think he will be world class, but if he keeps improving can probably get to similar level to the likes fo Cahill, Osman, Peinaar that were very good players for us.
