I'll ask again, how can he create when his options are all 5-10 yards next to him, with no width, with no skill. You're literally proving my point in your second paragraph, he most certainly isn't setting people up because there's nobody to set up. This is a pretty simple take to grasp.

Yes, do you think players are in any other position? You watch the game, you know there's no options out wide. There's no incisive runs being made by Doucoure, there's no overlaps from the full backs, DCL is back to goal for 90 mins.

Don’t mind this shout. I like him but we can’t rely on him to be the “creative” midfielder, he’s not good enough but he could get up and down the right side and put in some crosses.

If we want genuine creativity then, as many flaws as he has, we probably have to find a way to play Gomes. He can’t run but he’s technically way ahead of the rest.

Herein lies the problem , judging by that 'pass map' floating around we could have a prime Kafu playing right back and he still wouldn't be allowed to get up and down the line putting crosses in.

Harrison and McNeils pass maps will inevitably be skewered by the fact that they switched wings and Doucoure will look deeper on the graphic because he didn't complete many passes further forwards. They weren't all literally stood within 5-10 yards of each other all game.

Again, I'm not actually expecting him to create anything because I don't think he's that type of player regardless of the team shape. He's never been creative from open play for any side he's played for so I don't see why that would change now.

I agree…. But Coleman is past his best (should have been replaced a few years back), and he clearly doesn’t like Patterson (not sure why he hasn’t given him a chance).

Garner has played RB for England U21s so surely can play there.

Diabolical since January, and I'm one of his biggest fans. Needs to be taken off set pieces immediately, but that would probably mean asking somebody unfamiliar with set pieces to take them, but there again it could hardly be worse than James' free kicks and corners right now.

I guess just get McNeil (as he won't be dropped no matter what) on corners as that's literally his only asset on a football field, and get one of the full backs to punt any free kick into the penalty box.

I never got the early hype for Garner, looks like a few others are realising he's a bit of a nothing player, just a body in the middle of the pitch who makes up the numbers. Time to try something else and give Gomes another chance?

I dissagree with some people saying he is a nothing player, but I really think he has had a massive decline since january amd should be taken of set pieces asap. Onyango should get a chance, just to see what he has to offer, maybe just give him 15 minutes

He would be a quality operator in a side that would attempt to play with the ball.

I’d like to see him under a manager who doesn’t serve up century old football.

Like watching kids at school. Genuinely reckon some PE teachers would show more technical nous than Dyche.

And Anthony Gordon plays as a #9 for England U21s, would you say he's a good enough striker?

we need to think differently about a few players in our squad. Garner and Onana get people on their backs but we have no senior pros to lift and drive them on. The senior players are hiding so how do you expect the younger players to take the game by the grip of the neck.

He certainly cannot play in a midfield 2, too lightweight and very predictable. I was told he liked a shot from outside the box mmmmm really. In fact do any of our players shoot outside the box, then again do any of our players actually shoot full stop.
