2023/24 James Garner

Class act.

Captain material. Loved him bollocking Pickford for poor distribution, then playing the ball straight back to him - only for Pickford to send a pinpoint ball into midfield.

There aren’t many others in the squad that’d shout at Pickford, even fewer that would have their point instantly and demonstrably accepted by him.

Yes, this is a great sign. A pro like Pickford - our best player - obviously has plenty of respect for Garner by that reaction - and probably knew he was right, too.

Good to see and Pickford looked sheepish afterwards. Shows that Garner cares

Liked that he was prepared to carry the ball forward a bit more than in recent times. He has the pace and the power to break the lines like that a few times a game.

Shouts for who he reminds you of? Could be a number of box to box 1990's who could do a bit of everything

Reminds me of Joe Parkinson.

Mostly for the fact hes got an edge to him, great attitude and can both pass and tackle very well.

Hopefully the man utd game was a one off and we see consistency like hes shown this season more and more.

My motm and the commentators were saying how great he was all game. Stats popped up that he was 1st for passing, interceptions and a few other things
