2024/25 James Garner

I don’t rate him think he offers a little tiny bit of everything

I don’t rate him think he offers a little tiny bit of everything but not enough.
He's another one of our players who seems to be better the longer he's out, I've seen nothing from him that gets me excited by his return, I forgot all about him to be honest, another one who's always injured and has contributed ext to nothing since he's been here, a tidy footballer but he just seems to drift through games for me

Less good at breaking up play than our others, but more cultured of pass. Whips a great flat ball in from wide, for Dom to watch fly past. Would rather him be striking them from 20 yards than Gana too.

Also not our worst right back.

Not amazing, but a different option we’ve had to go without.

He's better than what is currently playing.

Gana's second touch is a tackle.
Mangala can play but can't run.
Doucs can run but can't play....

Dream combo really.

The unholy Trinity

Did very well covering at right back. Not so good since he's gone back to midfield before injury but Dyche. Would on paper be the type of midfielder to do well under Moyes, here's hoping.

He’s better than mangala in my book. Or was, hope when he returns is back to how he was but always a question after this length of time.
At worse he is a player most prem teams would be happy to have in their squad, which is an improvement on a lot of our players.

In Moyes we trust. He will find the right combos of players to make us safe. He might lose more games than Dyche would but will certainly win more games IMO. Dyche would draw a lot of games with fewer losses but with 3 points for a win a draw is not that great and will always have you near the bottom of the league as has already been established. 1 win and 2 losses is equal to 3 draws. The aim is to win and not be besotted with not losing.

Think with James Garner available and Armstrong having a few sub appearances will bode well for us

Could see him getting games on the right the way Ossie used to

One game too early for him today, but next game he simply has to come back into the starting XI. He's obviously been back in full fitness training for a while and back in full contract training all week. It's not that I think he's amazing, because he also offers very little in an attacking sense, but none of those frauds currently in midfield deserve to be holding down a spot.

Not sure about that. From memory he was in quite a few match stats as top two for winning ball from open play (interceptions, tackles, 50/50s).
Didn't play as well when partnered w Gana imo. I reckon Gana threw his sense of positioning off and brought hesitancy into his game.
Dyche preferred Gana. Think that was a mistake.
