The 10 steps of how to turn every thread into a Moyes one is in full effect here.
The melt is gone, people need to pack up with bringing him up. I'm never typing his name again after this post. Forget about him, lets move on.
Back to business, I'm hoping McCarthy proves me wrong. I have been having fun calling him a crab this past few weeks but he gets my full support. As for the fee, the lad never asked for that, its done.
Hope he can make the step up. Let's face it, this is a whole different level of expectation now. With his sort of price tag as well, there's no way he can be eased into the side gently, he needs to be straight into the starting XI and hit the ground running.
Like everything else in life these days, people want everything to be just the way they think it should be and they want it like that right now. When did we all get so self centered and spoiled? I've been amazed at the attitude of many to Kone, Martinez and now McCarthy. How about we wait and see, get behind the manager and the team in the mean time and try our best not to act like a bunch of spoiled kids who haven't got their own way.
Agreed. Everyone should have the same opinion about everything and never, ever, criticise decisions even if they believe them to be wrong.

Yes mate, cos that's exactly what I said.
I know it wasn't but I don't get the fact people are offended by differing opinions - particularly when they are entirely reasonable.
I don't rate Martinez as a manager so far in his career. He didn't improve Wigan in 4 years at the club. The style of football he promotes will succeed at Everton only with substantial funds to buy the sort of technical player. He won't get those funds and I don't believe the players he has bought in are anywhere near the quality we need. Lukaku, Deufelou (and to a lesser extent Barry) are exciting signings but if they are costing big money and only here for a year is that a sustainable strategy? I don't think it is.
I look forward to being proven wrong in every respect. Everton winning matches, playing exciting football is what we all want.
However we've all supported the club long enough to realise that our position is precarious. We get vastly outspent by all the clubs above us, and some below. It will only take one or two bad seasons for the club to enter a downward spiral.
I have (based on no evidence) faith that Martinez will get the best out of him given time. A similar age and price tag to Fellaini when he arrived, who was hardly the finished article and more than a few were convinced he wouldn't make it, was a waste of money etc. That one turned out ok in the end.
