I agree with the guys that said we need rotation this season and that all will get enough games. We need to keep in mind that Besic will also probably play in other roles as DM as well...as he can play in quite a few positions apparently. To truly compete we will need a strong second 11 and I think we are on our way to get that. I wont be surprised if we get in another player or two other than Lukaku (if he signs) as well.

Also what could he have said really...the media at times asks questions in such a way that you don't have any other option really to answer...I am flattered...or...we will see what happens blah blah...unless one wants to burn bridges which usually aren't wise int eh footballing world. I am quite sure there is nothing in it and that McCarthy wants to be at Everton and aren't even thinking about any other club atm. He is playing enough...likes the club and likes the manager and knows we have such a promising future ahead of us with all these young players like Barkley, himself, Stones etc etc.

Maybe I am over optimistic but feel we have such a bright future ahead of us with all these young talented players...ideal to build a tremendous team with and think that's also why players like Barkley signed new contracts...as they will get their CL football etc (maybe not this year but in the next few years)...at the club they love

All of our players should be aiming to be good enough to be wanted by the likes of Real, Barca, Bayern, etc- that's the average standard of footballer we want at Everton.
Its just made me think- who of our players haven't ever been linked with anyone really? Hibbo? I remember Osman was linked with an Italian club randomly a few years back (Parma?)
