James McCarthy

If his 'we'll see what happens' quote was related to the interest from Man Utd then that is seriously disappointing and we should get rid..........but it may have been a journo being creative with the order of the quotes so for now we should give him the benefit of the doubt

There's a few obviously jokey "Burn him/ Kill him" posts and a single "McCarthy has been a bit silly"

Whereabouts are these over-reactions?

One of the main over-reactions I usually see in threads is people saying other people are over-reacting (meta!). Happened in the last match thread ... the vast majority of posts were perfectly reasonable and yet everyone was accused of over-reacting to a pre-season friendly (when we weren't).

To some people it seems any type of reaction at all is "over-reacting."

Not. For. Sale.

all depends on the context of that interview, IF the interview is as it reads and he was not so subtley touting himself for man utd then he should be straight out the door, i cant see how anyone would think otherwise and thats not an over reaction its a perfectly rational reaction

BINGO. The two remarks being separated by two different sets of inverted commas would be a telling clue, you'd think, FFS.

The board backed Roberto if you look at his signings and also backed our EX to quite a degree in his dealings, so have to say I disagree with your statement. Prior to that it was all under Johnstone and he allowed Smith to make a number of big signings.
Dear me, if what our board has done is backed our manager/s (in your opinion) then what term would you use if we had spent 100m more than we had recieved on transfers by using TV money, Sponsorship money, Gate reciepts and Merchandise??

See the posts after that one.

there does seem to be a bit of a over reaction to the report.he's flattered by the interest,so what.I'd think most if not every player would be wouldn't they ?.
McCarthy is playing and being coached by people he knows well, managed by someone who clearly rates him, and has completed a very successful first season at a huge club.he's not going anyway and I suspect he doesn't want to.
