I think we need a reality check in terms of our football club btw.

A board that has shown absolutelly zero ambition in the transfer market in about 30 years...can only offer certian wages and EL footy.

We think that because we love Everton and were boss that players will stay loyal forever lol

It doesnt work like that, Man United are one of the biggest clubs in the world...we cant even get enough socks for kit launch FFS lol

The board backed Roberto if you look at his signings and also backed our EX to quite a degree in his dealings, so have to say I disagree with your statement. Prior to that it was all under Johnstone and he allowed Smith to make a number of big signings.

Mean in terms of net spend mate. Selling our star player every season in order to buy 3 or 4 is hardly what id class as backing the manager tbh.

Quite right but which star players, Fellaini, hell of a good deal, Rooney yes but he wanted away from our EX, Ferguson was forced on Smith, now who else had you in mind?

Lets throw Lescott in there for good measure...

Rodwell was meant to be another Jewel in the crown...throw him in as well

Correct.

This myth that we "sell our star player every year" has been allowed to take root but in reality only Rooney and possibly Arteta are the only examples I can think off since Alan Ball or Duncan were sold.

The money we got for the likes of Lescott, Rodwell and Fellani was just too good to refuse and I think the buying clubs were the losers in those deals.

Its not a myth its a fact for gods sake! This will be the only year i can remember where someone hasnt been sold in order for us to sign anyone.
