...can't believe vitriol about a man who choses to play for another country. He must have his own reasons and we should respect that. There are lots of instances of players wanting to put on the shirt of another country. Victor Anichebe chose Nigeria and not England, Sheedy played for the Irish. I have absolutely no issue with any of those individuals.

Much ado about nothing.

it's not like he had a choice either. He would have only had a choice if Scotland had wanted him.

nope, was repeatedly told he wasn't good enough. Even two years later before his first Irish Cap, Craig Levine publicly refused to talk to him about possibly playing for Scotland in the future because 'there were better players already in the Scotland setup'.
