I always remember a story that Collymore said about his agent Paul Stretford being strapped for cash and convincing him to ask for a new contract to help him out.

He said he had a hold on him and that his agent made him feel like he had to help him out.

I've no idea what McCarthys relationship is like with his agent but I guess he will be loyal to him.

His agent is wanting some money cause he's bankrupt. Lad has no intention of leaving, but, we do need to sort his contract out. Was promised a wage increase when he signed (which hes earned) and Cleverley comes in a is immediately on more.
Did RM try to increase his wages and length of his contract last year, and JM decided to refuse any negotiations ??? I thought that was the case may be wrong?

Don't believe there's any truth to it.

Having said that, ANY player who doesn't want to play for us should always be sold and McCarthy would fetch a high price of around £25m/£30m

'Kenwright will be loving this' is the only thing about this story that I believe

That journo is just being a bad egg. Left Sky and now all he has is some sensationalist jarg out of misunderstood quotes.

no, there was talk of it but Bobby came out and said that he wasn't going to renegotiate his contract as promised.

more of a case of taken for an idiot rather than not a case of wanting to go, he was promised an upgrade to a first teamers wage after the first year if he could prove himself and the club have gone back on it. Meanwhile he's the first choice midfielder, thought of as the future Captain, whilst bit part players are being twice as much as he is.

If that is the case, the club want shooting.
