I can't see how there's a hold up unless he's being unreasonable. If he wants wage parity or even a bit more Martinez would have absolutely no problem giving it to him.

Mate of mine works for sportsmole. They're 'transfer rumours' consist of employees (who work from home) trawling through social media, forums and vague online sources and articles for gossip. That's all it is, and in fairness the articles are titled as such. I'm of the opinion that McCarthy is going nowhere this summer, but it is stupid not to offer him a new deal (if we haven't already, of course).
