If some eveton fans think he will stay because he loves the club and Roberto then you are kidding yourself's
Sterling has just gone from 35k a week to 200k
Not sure what McCarthy's on but this is his chance to earn an extra 100k a week overnight

And play for club that will be challenging for trophies every year and playing champions league football every year

Also there is not a chance that Chelsea's or Man Utd will be after him anytime soon or arsenal IMO

So if city are really interested this may be his only chance to get a move to a club challenging for the title

Personally I would sell for 30mil in a heartbeat

James McCarthy following Fabian Delph rejection

GETTY

James McCarthy has impressed at Everton since arriving from Wigan for £13m in 2013
With Arsenal's Jack Wilshere also out of reach, City have been forced to reappraise their targets and McCarthy is now on their radar.

Tottenham are keen to recruit McCarthy, 24, but City's interest in the Republic of Ireland star is a new development.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez is determined not to lose any of his star players and McCarthy has been integral since arriving from Wigan for £13m in 2013.

City have the financial power to test Everton's resolve, but will want to be assured McCarthy's hamstring problems, which forced him to miss nearly a quarter of the last season's Premier League campaign, are behind him.

Delph was due to move to City in an £8m deal fromAston Villa last weekend, but made a dramatic U-turn to leave Manuel Pellegrini's side short of homegrown players.

The worst thing about the rep system being taken away is that you cant appreciate who the recent arrivals are and the impression they've made in that short space of time. It was a good rule of thumb of Kopite activity. You can smell them on this thread, of course. They have pretty obvious patterns of behaviour: they get stripped of another player = they come on here suggesting we'll lose one.

It's hilarious.

There there lads. You're a selling club now.

Now get back to twitter and carry on your KKK onslaught against Sterling.

'eveton' eh? :bye:

Two words: Fabian Delph.
