Good half that for McCarthy. Surging run from out wide into the box could have seen him score and his passing has been good. Always showing for the ball, which he didn't do against Sweden.

Thought his work rate and fitness levels again tonight were excellent. He continually runs around around and looks to get involved. He is still very young and at 22 has not yet developed the ability to run a game. The game seems to dictate to him, rather than he dictate the game (if that even makes sense) - maybe his positional play is a bit off.

Was box to box and chased everything defensively. If he gets stronger in the tackle and develops the ability to get more involved going forward...it's all upside for me.

I didn't see the game tonight and I don't want to seen derogatory to our Republic Blues but he is going to be playing for a better Manager and a better Team.
The only way to judge him as an Everton player is when he is wearing an Everton shirt, he may prove to be a donkey who we spunked a shed load of money on, or he may prove to be (to quote the Sh!te) the final piece of the jigsaw, a talented ball winner with an engine that keeps possession and helps us build attacks.
My money is on the Kopite thing. The money has been spent now so we have to have some faith that the Manager knows what he is doing and watch the boy flourish.

It must be a nightmare to play as a midfielder in a Trappatoni team ,the style of football is truly awful.
Every single time it's booted long from goalkeeper or defender over the midfield onto the forwards.

I have serious concerns that Kev and Apostolos might become jealous at there being another super-sex model footballer at the club...

He's about 12 there.

Pyar yewtree this

He hardly saw the ball. He patrolled the middle of the ground and it passed either side and over him all night.
Nobody passed to him and apart from one good, long pass to the right wing he was pretty much anonymous.
I can't criticise him because he wasn't really involved in the match.

Coleman was good.
