That's fine, all well and good. But it's not a "good performance" is it? He didn't "do well". Gareth Barry did well. Naismith did well. Let's actually praise good performances instead of praising nothing.
If he had took that ball on and look for the counter attacking opportunity on his own, or took that ball on the chest and retained possession, then I'd be praising that. He also cacked himself on a 50/50 on the right touchline too that I didn't even mention.
As I said earlier, yes, it's early days, but for the same reasons you're annoyed at me for pointing out his faults, I'm annoyed for you lot pointing out imaginary positives.
