Most of us know you don't like him and believe we've wasted our money but to use today performance to **** him off is pretty low. None of us are saying he had a great debut, he kept it simple. Don't expect this kid to start pouring forward and scoring goals or the king of assists.

There's a good fifty other posts in the vault of me telling Ijjysmith he's a decent little player too. I don't think he's worth £13m but that's a different story; he's here now, the value is what it is.

As for the "just like you will with Martinez" - no idea where that's came from, but just for the record, I like Martinez.

I thought he had a good little cameo. He is more mobile than I first thought. He will be able to carry the ball forward for us quite well.
I actually thi9nk, our improvement in performance in the second half had a lot to do with his introduction. We became more combative in midfield.

There was a moment where he collected the ball in space, had Osman and Barkley near him, had the opportunity to take the ball, drive with it and take the game by the scruff of the neck...

But instead he crabbed a one yard pass to Osman.

Another moment when a poor Chelsea ball gave him the chance to take the ball down on the chest and drive them back towards goal...

But instead he tried an implausible stooped header towards Barkley that didn't have a prayer of coming off.

Very unimpressed.

I just watched the game from when he came on.

Didn't see any 1 yard crab passes to Osman, and from how the ball came back to him the little cushioned header to Barkley was an ok choice even though he messed it up. Could have tried to control an awkward ball with a man to his left or could have tried to head it to Barkley and let the better player attack them.

Everything else he done was positive forward passing bar one back to Jags whcih was fine cause it kept the ball moving.

If you've really got fears over how he plays from that and were unimpressed i'd be shocked. Watching it back he was better than i remembered, it was his through ball that Mirallas checked back in and got a shot away.

No sign of being a crab whatsoever.
