Are they seriously comparing what Morrison/Delph or even Barry's job is within a team to McCarthy's??

McCarthy is there to snub out the opposition, he negated Cuntinho perfectly today, the opposition's best player, then keep the ball moving, recycling possession. He's not an attacking midfielder (though I have seen him played there in previous years), Bobby wants him to be more disciplined that than that, Barry is the one Bobby wants to trigger attacks, James is there to contain, mop up and recycle possession. Show me some stats relevant to other players doing the same thing and I might give a toss.

Wow, chill out, no need to attack me, it is an interesting perspective for me (I haven't checked those stats btw) and a nice read. "Surprisingly", guy called "luckyspurs" wrote it on a FIFA forum (topic is real-life football related though). Never said I agree with it.

we're not the one that needs to 'chill out'. So you decide that a Spurs Fan (no doubt pissed off because Jamesy turned them down in the summer) has an adequate interpretation of some random stats you can't be bothered to check out if they are true or not?
OK, up to you, just don't really expect any who's been watching him over the last 2 and a bit seasons (and in my case a lot longer) to take it seriously.

In what way did I attack you? only the ineptitude of the 'comment' you quoted for us all to take note of

Wow, so he had a fantastic game playing in his old deep, destructive role and not trying to get forward to add some goals to his game to make him into a top Midfielder??
Some on here will be most confused how this is is possible. :-)
