Fair enough - as I said thought his criticism of him was harsh at the time but think I see the same sorts of faults that he pointed out. Ireland have used him wrongly though. He is a defensive mid and trying to play him as anything other is a waste of what he does best.

Thought he was going to be a really good player for us, following his first season. But right now he is being kept out by players who are playing better. I would of thought he'd be happy to stay with Barry being the age he is, surely he can't play every match. Besic is out for months, surely there is a place for him unless we're bringing in another player in that position?
Surely he could of got his head down and let the new manager coach him to play the way he wants? If he was upset about being brought off before half time? Well he was out of position and isn't expected to be a world class right back. Best let him go, maybe we can do some interesting wheeling dealing?
