Would we ? We signed John Stone's replacement after he had left. I would hope the replacement is signed before and if McCarthy was sold. Getting to near the deadline to do anything else.
There's still a week to go so settle down. If he's allowed to go im pretty sure they'd be all but certain that they have someone lined up to come straight in, if not so what. Rather play Davies than this crab

I've stated before that I'd be inclined to give McCarthy the opportunity to rekindle some of the form shown in the first season.

For as you rightly mention, he's not the only player to have dwindled under Martinez and his shoe-horning approaching within the last two years.

Yet, if Celtic's interest is genuine and they're willing to offer a fair amount for a permanent deal then Koeman may see it easier to offload him.

Talk of a loan deal however means he'll most probably be staying at least in the short to medium term.

Celtic loan deal will be getting leaked to signal we're willing to let him leave and bring actual permanent bids in for him.

Be gone before deadline day for close to 20m

Scheiderlin mate, just got a feeling about him coming in, played his best under Koeman, lives local, and seems to just be clinging on the fringes of United squad.

This crab as you call him cost us £13m and I don't think we should loan him out to of all people Rodgers.
And as promising as he is, Davies should be eased into the Everton team not relied on to replace a seasoned professional. Small time thinking there pal.

Can't see him wanting to go to Celtic and certainly don't see Celtic being able to afford him. I thought Sunderland would be a better fit for him. Still Premier League, albeit a regulation battle and they could pay his wages. I would definitely look to offer him on part exchange for Kone. We would need to get in another midfielder to allow Davies to develop into that role and cover for Barry.
I am of the opinion playing McCarthy over the last two seasons has been one of our major problems.

No it's not, small time thinking is persisting with a [Poor language removed] crab who contributes nothing to our play

Would be perfect, was easily one of if not the best midfielder in the league in his last year with Southampton

Out of the load of centre mids we got linked with (Witsel, Carvalho, Strootman, Schneiderlin) he was always going to be 1. the most available as far as the level of competition for him - as most CL English teams had passed on him in the past for whatever reason. 2. the most likely as far as the owning club being willing to let him leave - not a 'star' name, not really a fan favourite, and at an age where he has already had that 'big move and it hasn't worked out for him. 3. Lives local, had his best season under Koeman etc

Hopefully i'm right and we do try get him, a midfield of him and Gueye would be a dominant one, throw in a fresh and rested Barry for a full season and yeah think we could allow the creativity to come from other (wider) areas as lets face it we'd not concede many at all

Apart from the last part, I wholely agree.

Not that Davies shouldn't be given game time like.

what input will u have on the forum if he goes? Every post in every thread had some sort of Mccarthy bashing in it.

We have money now so we all expect a big name to come in, we sell jimmy then fail on our plan A and B before spending £25m on option C who turns out to be a crab too. McCarthy gets a tough ride from some on here.
