The last time we won a major trophy John Major was Prime Minister and Bill Clinton was in his first term as POTUS. And 2009 aside, we haven't even come close to winning a major trophy in recent decades. What's more, we have qualified for Europe just once in this particularly decade.

Our players shouldn't be fatigued.

Dunphy's opinion counts for little. For someone who publically claimed he was ashamed to be Irish I'm not sure why he bothers watching the national team.
