I'm not surprised he wants out to be honest

Fan base has essentially turned on him and has no patience to give him a chance and he just can't seem to get fit

Don't blame him for wanting a fresh start at this point

I hope he sticks around though and gets fully fit, because at one point he was really good for us and I live in hope that he could be again

I will miss the Jimmy Mac fella if he goes and the support he gets in here.

As for apologies, don't make me laugh. If he plays the wknd I will support him and hope he does well in the blue shirt rather than call him a traitor and tell him to leave.

Not sure I trust the article to be honest and loads of people have got things wrong about McCarthy on here for ages. One being that Koeman has no time for McCarthy even though he featured in the first 3 games that he was available to play, and Koeman caused a public confrontation with his national side over playing him whilst injured. Seems a bit of an odd thing to do for a player you're not arsed about and have no time for. The article also uses his 38th minute substitution against West Brom as evidence he's not wanted, when in fact that was a tactical substitution that paid off as we won the game.

Wouldn't be too bothered if it was true though since he can't seem to stay fit for long enough, but if McCarthy goes, that's one less player in that position in our squad. People on here are failing to acknowledge that Gueye is going to the AFCON in January, Barry is 35 and Besic and Gibson are far more injury prone than McCarthy. Which means our only other option is Cleverley who is hated anyway. We can't attract top players at the moment so where does that leave us?

Maybe Davies would finally get a chance at that poi.........HaHaHaHaHa, sorry, I couldn't even finish that post, we all know it won't happen

...the interesting bit in that article is that the manager has told a number of players they are not good enough. I don't know if that's true but it is something I discussed a week or so ago as a possible reason for players attitudes.

It's important RK gets the most out of what he has even if he wants to replace them. Saying that, under fair play he won't want players sitting on long contracts when the club has to generate income, so he might push individuals to leave. It's a difficult balance.

The case of Jimmy Mac is a salutary lesson for Gueye Gana.

This is how easy it is to go from No. 1 in the GOT Hit Parade to becoming personna non grata inside two years ;)

Absolutely, Eggs.

We talked about this just the other day.

If Koeman is going around letting players know he doesn't fancy them and that they have no future here under him then it is little wonder many of them seem de-motivated.

Whatever happened to "you are playing for your future here lad, go out and show me you have one"?

Very bad management if that is the case.

In any walk of life.

...absolutely, I think it was you who made that really good point. I can see him trying to push some out but it would surprise me if he was doing it to lads he's relying upon, at least until he got a replacement in. Who knows what's going on, perhaps McCarthy has asked for assurances about his future and RK wasn't able to give him any.
