For as superb as Barry has been at times this season, he really does need McCarthy or Besic to do the pressing he can't.

I moved to Spain a few years ago and only really catch the games on TV, and appreciate its not the same as watching live, particularly when it comes to industrious players such as McCarthy. But I honestly don't see anything in this kid. Doesn't look for the ball, doesn't create, doesn't score. The few games I saw of Besic, he is head and shoulders above him.

I quite agree with you there Ollie,I too not living in the UK only see television.I would say macca does the job he has been told to do but how I wish he would get the ball and attack the oppo. Its like he is stifled and for me if he was given more of a free. ..er reign goals could very well come from that. Oh how we miss a 3 man midfield that could send would get up and down the pitch. I suppose the likes of Bally,Kendall and Harvey is a once in a lifetime phenomenon..

If he goes forward then Barry will be exposed i think due to his lack of pace. Its happened a few times now.
