James McCarthy

You got an opinion on the Jimmy mac or just been your usual annoying self and pulling people up on their posts to make yourself sound more intelligent than the rest of us?

This is not about me or my opinion.

It is about you stating, quite clearly and unambiguously, that you "can't wait" to see McCarthy injured again so as Everton would start to concede goals again and "lose games".

All because some posters on here don't share your opinion of James McCarthy.

It is a quite outlandish thing for someone posting on an Everton board to say so don't be surprised when an Evertonian points out how ridiculous saying such a thing sounds.

I'm just sayin' is all :coffee:

Its a Jimmy Mac thread. You don't have an opinion so what are you trying to achieve?
Im sure the rest of the readers on the thread understand that I don't want to see any everton player injured. I was clearly pointing out that if he was to be injured we would see a return to games we were conceding goals and losing games.
Im pretty sure you get my point but you will continue with your trolling. Its not the first time you've done it in here and wont be the last .

Didn't have his best game the other day, but it's clear that having him in the team helps us massively. We seem to need that defensive midfield cover alongside Barry, whether it's him or Besic.

Robles has rightly taken a lot of plaudits since coming in to the team, but I would place equal importance on Jagielka and McCarthy's return.

I think the biggest factor impacting on James McCarthy's performances is his lack of fitness after the injuries. He was red faced and blowing for tugs early on at Bournemouth and generally slow in tackling resulting in his yellow stunting his play further after that. Hopefully this break from competitive games will give him a bit of breathing space to recharge and get back to the player we know he is in our engine room.

It's the fags. He's a 20 a day smoker.

If he goes forward then Barry will be exposed i think due to his lack of pace. Its happened a few times now.
Exactly this. He needs to always be wary of what's happening with Barry, who as good as he's been this year on the ball has no pace. As a result, Macca's first job must be to think backwards, not forward.

Whenever he comes forward I think he shows he has that ability. But he just can't focus on this. But he switches play to different wings and makes great diagonal passes that help build up play with little risk to a counter.

Not his best game at Bournemouth, but you'll have those. Prior to that game he's been very very solid

Martinez has said that we'll need a different way of playing when Barry retires/drops to the bench. So it seems likely no one is going to do his role exactly.

Wouldn't be surprised to see a McCarthy/Besic partnership that has a different tactical setup to the current Barry/Someone partnership. As opposed to someone trying to take Barry's exact role. Didn't he experiment with McCarthy as the sitting midfielder against Carlisle? Not that that means much of course.
