Anonymous again imo, I want to love him I really do but I just feel like someone needs to shake him and demand he does more, set the tempo for the team, drive his team mates.

He just seems very timid to me and happy to pick up the ball, not look up and just pass it to the nearest player. That's fine if your are smashing everyone in sight and protecting the back 4 but I don't even see that tbh.

Once Besic is fit it will be his position under threat in the 1st team I reckon.

oh no but you see I can.

He loses the ball lots.

He slows down the play.

He creates nothing.

Sep 1 2013.

Godspeed oh wise poster.

Always been 'meh' on the ball but off it hes developed an unhealthy habit over the past few months of getting drawn too far up the pitch then struggles to get back when he gets turned

Still think he isn't up to full pace since that bad injury picked up at Bournemouth. Seems to be playing within himself, not the all action macca we are accustomed to. Prior to his injury besic would definitely get the nod over macca on current form.

I know mate,I just felt he was poor for the majority last season, has been patchy this season and maybe the little niggles and injuries have taken their toll.

Same thing has happened to Seamus, he's picked up a few knocks and hamstrings the past 18 months and neither of them look free of injury and fighting fit.

I don't think it will do him any harm if Besic comes straight back in when he's fit, though he will probably get injured then as well lol

I really hate that the ****e are linked with him. Hopefully their purchase of Henderson and Adam will cool their interest. I rate Rodwell higher than Fellaini, he just needs his break and I agree that it must be hard breaking into the team, and next season Barkley will be there as well, but that could take some of the pressure away from him.

I would love for this to be our lineup:

Howard

Coleman - Jagielka - Duffy/new CB - Baines

Morrison - McCarthy - Barkley - Holtby

Rodwell

Demba Ba

Actual drugs.

Tbh McCarthy has looked a shadow of his first year for 18 months now

Was very good against Newcastle and Stoke.

Kind of hit a tricky patch vs WBA and was a sloppy vs Bournemouth. Made some good tackles and interceptions tonight but was unusually wasteful in possession.

He'll come good. To say he's been poor last 18 months is a bit of a stretch as well.

He carried us through February and March last season.

Er....

We won two league games (home to Newcastle who had a man sent off early, away to QPR) in two months, lost three, and got bummed everywhere in Kiev

Let's hope he doesn't have a bad two months or we're in real trouble!

A few good games but mostly so so in the majority , certainly no where near the level of his first year.

Besic > McCarthy all day long
