@Khalekan can choose to be offended by whatever he/she likes. That doesn't make my comment - wishing McCarthy a full recovery so that he can continue playing and we can sell him - nasty in any way.

There's a difference between being offended by something offensive, and choosing to be offended by anything that does not fully adhere to one's own very narrow thinking. This is a lesson earned later in adult life.
Apologies to you and @Groucho
It's got nothing to do with me. Khal certainly doesn't need me wading in for him / her.
Just that word "snowflake" gets me tetchy. Which is very much my issue, not yours.

I didn't take offence to your comments, sorry if I came across otherwise.

And I'm intrigued to see that calling someone a snowflake earns a warning, but calling them a pickled onion does not.

As the boss said, back to talking about McCarthy.

It wasn't nasty, it was truthful and accurate. Sorry you got triggered, snowflake x

Oh it was nasty all right.

And it seems you have got yourself “triggered”.....given the childish name calling you have indulged in since :p

Luckily Jimmy Mac has a longish contract with us so there will be plenty of time for him to recover and continue to display the passion which very probably stopped us conceding a second goal on Saturday at such a high cost to himself.

That gave us the platform to save a point and deny Baggies an extra two and looking at the league table at the moment you might be extremely grateful to James come May ;)

Of course, if he'd just played a simple 10 yard - but crucially, forward - pass to Bolasie instead of turning back towards his own goal, he wouldn't have ended up losing it and having to attempt to rectify his own mistake by making the challenge which got him injured, so our thanks would have to be tempered somewhat.

GIVE IT A REST YOU TWO!

The matter is now OVER. Unless you would like us to take further action?

I am just shocked at some of the positive opinions of McCarthy on here. He's been horrible this year. Will not go forwards, leaving his feet on tackles and coming up empty, leaving us exposed time and time again. His Tottenham display was appalling. Besides the play at the end, he was horrendous against WBA.

You do realise he was just coming back from a long term injury and the Spurs game was possibly just his second game back.

A player I rate. He brings the aggression into our midfield play that we are now going to miss badly. His bravery and commitment was the cause of his injury and the very thing he most needed..an unbroken run in the team.. has been denied to him again.

That I can remember every manager that has worked with him and played his as often as possible including when he wasn't fully fit .

By that time I would have hoped we would have sorted our midfield out with new signings or young players coming through so there would be no place for McC.

I'm sorry the lad has suffered such a serious injury but he absolutely should have been shipped out LONG ago. It will be another 18 months at least now before we see the back of him and that's annoying I think, getting injured shouldn't be a get-out card for being a useless waste of space.

How long has he got left in his deal? If we offer him a new one whilst he's sitting out recuperating I will throw a fit.
