..he was terrific in the first half of last season’s Derby but that 45 mins, plus the shift he put in against Arsenal forced the muscle to pop again. Remember his form before Arsenal was ordinary, and I think that’s because he was (subconsciously perhaps) protecting the hamstring.

Seems to me, to be one of the most Sam-like players we've got

Personally I'd like him moved on. Offers little nowadays with the injuries, he's an expense we could do without. Got a lot of blokes who can do what he does too so he's really surplus to requirements in my eyes.

I really like him but hes got to be moved on due to his injuries....

You couldn't be more wrong in my opinion mate. As far as I can see he's a quality combo of the best of last season's Gana and Schneiderlein.

Well that's football but given that Schneiderlein hasn't got much in his locker in terms of passing ability then its hardly a recommendation. Barry was a miles better footballer than either McCarthy or Schneiderlien.
