I think for all Roberto's poor traits, he made it his mission to sort out McCarthy's injury issues. He made references publically quite a few times.

It seems he nor Koeman could find the root of the issue. Either that or the treatment for such just hasn't been effective.

Never say never but it's looking very doubtful.

He wasn't the most creative or the best passer, but he had an engine that was unrivaled and he could link up play in ways that Gana just doesn't do consistently enough. Barry could thread and James would carry it downfield... they were the perfect combo in Roberto's first season. I haven't seen him enough lately to tell if he still has it in him to play those one-twos and be that engine anymore.

I remember Boberto coming out saying that they had realised his diet needed to change and it would be smooth sailing from there. Obviously not.

Possibly mentioned footwear too?
 

If we can get him fit and keep him fit he starts every week. We have missed the energy he brings to midfield.

But who knows if we can get him fit and keep him fit. I do like him and would like to see him get a fair chance under big Sam.

He's our version of Darren Anderton. Hopefully Sam and his new team can keep him fit and give him till the Summer at least.A fit Mc Carthy over current Morgan any day of the week.

But an on form Schneiderlin is light years ahead of McCarthy.

I worry people are doing that thing where a player doesn't play and all of a sudden becomes amazing. I've done the same with Funes Mori in my head.

The only thing I love about Funes is, he loves it if he /we score.He is right in to the crowd.
