Player Valuation: £10m
We have 3 young forwards and also a giant centre back...they could all benefit from a player with exceptional passing ability.
Whether thats this guy or someone else...*

You’d rather spend the cash on Danny Ings than James Rodriguez?
Realistically it feels like a robiniho type signing. Not sure it’s going to work out but it would be a signing to signal intenent and attract other players to the “project”.It’s 35 mil not 50
stil a lot for a 29 year old.. however if we can market him well we could get £1.50 bk in shirt sales
Depends on the price for both, I didn’t put forth Ings in this discussion but he’s better than any striker we have, I just reckon he’d be better value for money than Rodriguez would be.
Let me guess, does it begin with a K ?Can't wait for your ban.
Can't wait for your ban.

How much do you think that Danny Ings ( who you think would be a good buy , represent better value and is better than any of our attackers ) would cost - given his importance to Southampton's bid to stay up ? £40/ 50 mill ? Possibly the Prems that mad especially if Solanke goes for £25mSeriously, do you believe that £40 odd million for a James Rodriguez who turns 29 before next season, represents value for money?
Or, are you just giving a dull, stock answer of “if Carlo think’s he’s right then I’m on board!”
James is a very good player on his day, again I just think that the risk averse amongst us (of which there have been many in this thread) would pass on this one and look for far better value elsewhere.

And you think that Ings is better than Richarlison ? Come on admit it you are on a wind up.

Danny Ings cost £20m in the Summer and has played well since in a landscape where Joelinton is £40m and Haller is £35m so they'd probably want, what, £35-40m for him?
James Rodriguez would cost about £35m.
If I had £35m to spend on Danny Ings (28 next Summer and missed 99 career games through injury) or James Rodriguez (29 next Summer and missed 82 career games) there's only one answer.
In all honesty, if i had £35m, I wouldn’t spend it on either of them. I just think if it was a case of either / or, i’d come down on the side of Ings rather than Rodriguez.
