Cristiano Ronaldo has told James Rodríguez to join Juventus, according to Lothar Matthäus.

And Bayern great Matthäus believes the 27-year-old has his heart set on a move to Serie A, with James' former Madrid club-mate Ronaldo having instructed him to join Juve.

"James can serve Ronaldo so that he can score"

"I see him at Juventus," Matthäus told AS. "We had a conversation two weeks ago, during the celebration of Bayern's Bundesliga win.

"He is very close to Ronaldo and told me that he was in contact with him and that he has told him that he wants to have him at Juventus.

"I understand why as James can serve Ronaldo so that he can score and the two of them can shine."

So what you’re saying is that we’re signing Ronaldo!

Our Director of Football didn’t negotiate a players contract, which is among one of a director of footballs most important jobs to allow the manager to focus on managing the team. Yeah, that definitely happened.

People wouldn’t have near the problem with you if you admitted you were wrong, even the odd time. Nobody’s perfect, not you, not Brands not even James despite being very close, I mean just look at him. But Brands thus far has been an outstanding DoF for us aside from a slip here and there such as Iwobi or Delph even.

Silva didn’t negotiate Richy’s deal he just said he wanted him and Brands agreed and did the rest. Carlo didn’t negotiate deals for Allan or James he just said he wanted them and Brands agreed and did the rest. These are facts. Richy wouldn’t be here without Silva and the 2 new boys wouldn’t be here without Carlo but you can’t overstate the importance of Brands in these deals especially with the finances involved in them.

Try to enjoy Everton once in a while, it’ll do you and everyone else a lot of good.
What you just described there is a club secretary role. Michael Dunford used to do all that. The only difference between Dunford and Brands is that the former wore M&S slacks and Brands wears designer ripped skinny jeans.

As for: "But Brands thus far has been an outstanding DoF for us aside from a slip here and there such as Iwobi or Delph even"

...or Kean or Gbamin or Mina.

Mina is a good defender and will establish himself this season. Gbammin was everton'd. He was never injured before joining us. Kean is young and can become a good player. He makes the Italy squad so managers must rate him.

Give them time (and ancelotti), and they'll come good.
