All I'm saying is I'm concerned at his injury record over the last 3 years.. if he was still the great reliable footballer Madrid would be keeping him. The premier is a lot more physically demanding than Spanish league. If the terms are right for us bring him in. But that's for Carlo to decide.

See, you've voiced your concern about Rodriguez's injury record, which is completely fair.

But then asked if we'd have a racist, kopite with a penchant for human flesh who is 4 years older than him and missed 17 games for Barca last year compared to Rodriguez's 14. That also includes a major knee injury that required surgery.

If you'd be willing to accept Suarez then you should be OK with Rodriguez.

You can see the Everton injury curse has battered our fanbase, and understandably so - we all plop a brick about injuries because of our horrendous record over the years, especially to new signings/key players, so I get the concern about Hamez, but he's practically been "niassed" at Madrid by ZZslaphead - I would seem he's been fit and not selected more times than he's been out crocked? If Carlo thinks he can do a job, we have to trust him.

This old-age thing across all the transfer threads really needs knocking on the head as well, it's getting on me wick.

Whilst I would love us to be signing good potential quality youngsters, and that should be what we do long term, that won't help us now - we need ready made 1st team quality, experienced players to sort us out in the short term - Hamez, Allan, Doucoure & Arias are the right kind of signings for now - the squad has enough potential young players, like Kean, DCL, Gordon, branthwaite etc.

Age is not a concern for Hamez, he's got a star factor that will always secure him a move elsewhere in his 30s be that back to Porto/Monaco, Juve love taking on players like him in an attempt to win the CL, he'd be loved over in the USA and could even go back to South America.

You should have read my further post where I said I dont want sqarez either. And said there seem to be bargains available at barca and Madrid.. im not bothered about James age just his injury record. Although a poster told me about his injuries which didn't seem too bad tbh

We had some of our fan base salivating over Bernard doing a cruyff turn. And he’s absolutely useless. If this fella signs, Christ knows what people will say when he plays. He’s top drawer, we just need him to stay fit. We need to take risks because we can’t attract the players. He’s risky, but if he turns up, he’ll be worshipped.
