I’m not arsed about his age....Chelsea are signing 34 year old Thiago Silva, Liverpool are after 29 year old Tiago Alcantara so it’s obviously not something which worries them either....it’s more the number of games he has played over the last 2 seasons....can anybody confirm, is that through injury or just not being selected?

You must be mistaken. Top clubs don’t buy players over 29.

I saw something that claimed he has played 5 times since October. Not being selected would contribute obviously, in addition to injuries.

We are crying out in midfield for skillful players with a will to win and who are leaders. I'm not bothered about their ages as long as we get players like this in.
