Our midfield last season was championship standard if I’m being kind. Allan and James are Champions league standard. Signing Allan, James and Doucoure should see us competing for top 6. The difference is Suarez is a racist, not a leader, well past his best, doesn't work hard, isn't massively effective any more, is on a much higher salary than James and wouldnt make our first team noticably better...

James is a million miles better than anything we have in the squad, works tremendously hard, leads by example and is still only 29... And the only reason he is leaving Madrid is Zidane didn't like him from day 1.

Don't get too caught up by the injuries, there has been nothing serious and after a season in Bayern playing centre midfield there should be no doubts about his physicality (not that it matters when you have quality- see Bernardo Silva and David Silva).

For me im not worried about the age. In fact we need experience and class in midfield. Players who will fight for our cause. I have a doubt over James because of his recent injury record.but would trust Carlos judgement
Don't really understand this FFP, Chelsea seems to be spending massive monet. Will it affect them?

I wouldn't want suarez either. But there does seems to be bargains had at madrid and barca atm.
As for James I bow to yr superior knowledge as I only really know him from that world cup when he was class
