I mean, we buy player A for £15m, and he's on a £70kpw wage. give him a 4 year deal. That works out as, basic figures, £7.1mpa. More expensive, Only 1 player and its not James.

I say we stop using FFP as an excuse. If James goes, its is for 1 of only two reasons. The club don't want him here, or he doesn't want to be here.

His wages aren’t that high really. I don’t want to lose him, but I guess he is one of our more saleable assets.

There are other far less influential players on bigger salaries. The problem is we can’t shift them.
